I read “Goosebumps, Why I’m Afraid of Bees” by R.L. Stine. It is about a boy named Gary Lutz who is unpopular, unathletic, and a bit clumsy. That is how he got his nickname, Lutz the Klutz. Gary had always been terrified of bees. His neighbor next door (Mr. Andretti) caught bees and kept them in a cage. He would sometimes use the bees to play tricks on Gary to scare him. He would then tell Gary that it was a joke and he would start laughing at him. Gary would always get upset about it. He would also get made fun of, and beat up by 3 bullies named Barry, Marv, and Karl. One day, Gary was told about a place where you could switch bodies with someone else. One day, after all of the things that Gary went through, he got beat up by Barry, Marv and Karl. He then decided that he had had enough of being him, and that he was going to switch bodies with someone else.
I suggest this book to anybody just for the sake that it’s an interesting page-turner, just like all of the other Goosebumps books that I’ve read. If you have to read a book but you really just don’t want to, this is the book for you. This and other Goosebumps books allow you to have fun when you read. I really hope that you choose to read this book. You won’t regret it!

The book "Bend it Like Beckham" is about a teenager, Jesse Bhamra, and she loves to play soccer, it is her life. She is an Indian girl but her mom does not want her to play because she is Indian. Her mom makes the decisions for her; Jesse is in love with her coach, Joe. Jules is her teammate but she also loves Joe too. Pinky is her sister who is about to get married but soccer cancels the wedding. In England, she gets to play for the Hounslow Harriers. She struggles with her mom because her mom is banning her from playing but she sneaks out to play. Her race is important because her mom wants her to date an Indian boy.
I liked this book because it is about soccer and that is what I love to do best. I would recommend this book for girls because it is a little bit on the girly side. Read the book to find out what happens with the wedding and if Jesse gets to play soccer. There is a little surprise twist at the end!

I read the book "The Sinking of the Bismarck." This book took place in World War II in 1941. There was a fierce German battleship called "The Bismarck." The Bismarck’s mission was to find a British merchant ship carrying 20,000 British soldiers. A British spy told them this information. The spy also told them that the ship wasn’t alone: there was another ship called "The Prince of Wales." A British Admiral named Admiral Sir John Tovey knew he had to find these two battleships and destroy them. The deadly hunt began!

This book was non-fiction telling you more about World War II and what the Germans were up to. I liked this book because it told what I didn’t know about World War II and it had one of my three favorite genres action, adventure, and suspense. If you are a person who wants to know about World War II with these three genres this is the right book for you.

I read “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Ugly Truth” by Jeff Kinney. It is about a kid in middle school named Greg Heffley. He had gotten into a fight a few weeks back with his friend Rowley Jefferson. Over the course of the book, Greg tries to avoid him because he was doing some things that Greg thought were annoying. The things that annoyed him were just acting like a little kid. Greg also had another conflict where he was invited to a great party with older kids but he had to go to his Uncle Gary’s wedding.
I suggest this book to almost any kid because I think this book is a page turner and it’s funny. I suggest this book mainly to boys though because the book has a decent amount of stuff that isn’t really for girls. I hope my review encourages you to read this book. If you do read this book, you will not regret it.

I read “Goosebumps Horrorland, Heads, You Lose!,” by R.L Stine. It is about a girl named Jessica and her friend named Ryan who started out in a place called Horrorland Theme Park where they bought this weird type of coin that had heads on both sides--so it was a trick coin. Then a few days later, they went to school and a bully named Boomer wanted their lunch money so they said they’d flip the coin and they’d win if it was heads (so they wouldn’t have to give their lunch money away). It was heads so they won, but then they started feeling extremely dizzy and all of a sudden ended up in an unknown kingdom. They met these guards, a prince and a blacksmith. The Prince had accused them of taking his head because his head had been taken, so they were on a long adventure to try to escape.
This book was very interesting for me and I suggest this book to people who like horror books. There are also lots of other Goosebumps books that in my opinion are even better than this one so I suggest all of the Goosebumps books. I’ve never read one Goosebumps book that was bad. I hope this encourages you to read Goosebumps.

Katniss Everdeen was rescued from her second Hunger Games by the recently discovered district Thirteen. Katniss made a new life in Thirteen because Twelve, her home, was bombed. President Coin and Plutarch Heavensbee wanted Katniss to be the symbol of the rebels in the war. Katniss was sent to fight in the war in the Capitol and fought in a special squad for people who shoot well. Katniss was trying to decide if she loves Gale or Peeta. Some people very close to Katniss lose their lives.
Some of the obstacles that Katniss has to overcome are the Peacekeepers, the Capitol, and President Snow. All of these people aren’t on Katniss’ side. Another obstacle, that isn’t a person, is the “pods.” The pods are triggers that set off dangerous and deadly traps. Katniss sees the Capitol as another Hunger Games.
I liked "Mockingjay" because it had a lot of suspense and I didn’t want to put it down. To find out who wins the war you have to read "Mockingjay" by Suzanne Collins.

12 year old Sasha Silver finally found a way to stand up to the mean girls. Jacob (her almost boy friend) has just had Heather (the antagonist) trick Sasha into believing that he was going out with her, Sasha got mad and ran out of the party crying and then her friend Eric tried to make her feel better.
Sasha and her riding team goes to a very special show that they are riding in. Another mean girl named Jasmine approaches them. Not only does Jasmine have big news but Callie (Sasha’s best friend) has big news too.
This book is a drama realistic fiction. To see what the big news that Callie and Jasmine have, and to find out what will happen with Jacob, you will have to read Canterwood Crest “Behind the Bit.”

The main characters in the book “The Lost Hero” by Rick Riordan are Jason, Piper and Leo. They all go to a boarding school except for Jason. The school is called the Wilderness school for bad children. Jason magically appeared on the Wilderness school bus on the way to the Grand Canyon. He does not have any memories of his past but remembers his first and last name. I think of this book as a series sequel to Percy Jackson and the Olympians because it is the summer after the Titan war. I really liked this book because it is just like the Percy Jackson series but better and longer. I think if you liked the Percy Jackson series you will like this series too.

I read the book “This Isn’t What it Looks Like,” the new fourth book in the secret series. The book is about three kids, Cass, Max-Ernest and Yo-Yogi, who belong to an organization called the Terces Society. The book starts out with Cass in a coma. She ended up in a coma because in the third book, “This Book Isn’t Good for You,” Cass eats time travel chocolate, which sends you back in time. Cass’s goal for going back in time is to find the Secret. The whole series of books revolves around the Secret. Cass needs to find the secret before the antagonist, The Midnight Sun. The Midnight Sun is an evil organization led by Dr. L. and Ms. Mauavis. Their motivation is eternal life. They believe the Secret will lead them to it. When Cass was in the past trying to find the secret, she meets the founder of The Midnight Sun, a guy named Lord Pharaoh. She accidentally gives him the time travel chocolate which sends him to the present. When Max-Ernest lures Cass out of her coma, they meet Lord Pharaoh, Cass for the second time. At the end of the book, Cass gets a hold of the secret. She just needs to read it off an old piece of parchment before it disintegrates.
You should read the book because it was an exciting installment in the Secret series. I think it was the most adventurous and suspenseful in the series.

I read the book “The Spiderwick Chronicles: The Ironwood Tree.” Three kids, Jared, Simon, and Mallory Grace, moved into their aunt’s house while she’s in the asylum. The book takes place in present day and the setting is their house and the spooky town around them. The kids find a book about faeries in their home, and it is written by their great uncle. The book is nonfiction, so faeries are real! Their sister Mallory was at a tournament for fencing at their school, but after the tournament, they can’t find her, so they try and find her. They can’t find her in the school, so they look in a quarry nearby. But they get captured by dwarves along the way, so it’s very difficult. This book is the 4th book in the “Spiderwick Series”, so you have to read the other ones first. This book was so good I couldn’t stop reading!
This book is a good book that was very satisfying. It is a short book, so if you don’t want to read long books, this is the right book for you! There are 5 books in the series, so you have to read the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd before you read this one! This book is also a New York Times Best-selling Serial, so even the New York Times thinks it’s good!
